WHO IS BEHIND SHARE?

French-born dance artist Kevin Quinaou has over 32 years of experience in the professional dance arts field, alongside 10 years as a dance workshop organizer.

Before founding the world-renowned platform SHARE—originally with the support of friends he danced with or met along his path—Kevin had one of the most diverse and top-tier careers many would hope for. He began his dance studies at age six and graduated from the Paris National Conservatoire (CNSMDP) at 19. After initially planning to join the Cedar Lake Dance Company in NYC, a visa misfortune led him instead to join Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He used this time to strengthen his classical foundation and technique within the corps de ballet. Eleven months later, he bounced back to the modern choreographic language by joining the Lyon Opera Ballet, where he met his peers and built his knowledge as a modern dancer.

Six years later, he joined the critically acclaimed Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT I) in The Hague, where he created and performed works by leading master choreographers before becoming a freelance dancer. Throughout his career, Kevin has performed at renowned theaters worldwide, including the Paris Opera, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Sadler’s Wells in London, Teatro Liceu in Barcelona, the Joyce Theater in New York, the Sydney Opera House, and the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, among many more.

Today, SHARE serves as a cornerstone for the freelance community, bridging the gap for dancers in delivering the opportunity to experience the works and methods of master choreographers directly from the artists who perform them, usually reserved for dance companies, creating a sense of inequality in knowledge.

Alongside directing SHARE, Kevin is sometimes invited to teach ballet training to dance companies, U.S. universities, and open professional training programs across Europe.

Kevin is a certified ballet pedagogue (D.E.)
